North Vietnam Photography Tour

NOTE: ITINERARY MAY BE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER EXPERIENCE IF ANY

DAY 1 - 3 OCT 2027: HANOI ARRIVAL

Welcome to the Vietnam photography tour focusing on landscape and candid photography.

We can arrive in Hanoi on 3 Oct on any flight. Airport pick up and transfer to your hotel in Hanoi for resting after a long flight.

Group dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at a hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 2 - 4 OCT 2027: HANOI / MU CANG CHAI

Breakfast at the hotel.

7h Morning transfer to Mu Cang Chai with 7 hours of driving. 

Mu Cang Chai is the rural area with the most amazing rice terrace view in Vietnam. The travel service of meals and accommodation is just basic. Mostly we will use motorbike taxis to get to the shooting point with 20 to 30 minutes of driving in the small path up to the hills.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, enjoy a photostop at the nice view on the way at Khau Pha Pass.

Arrive Mu Cang Chai in the late afternoon.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at a basic hotel in Mu Cang Chai.

DAY 3 - 5 OCT 2027: MU CANG CHAI

Early morning transfer to the shooting point for sunrise photography. Then we use a motorbike taxi to get to the shooting point in the hills around 10 minutes of driving. There is 1 photographer per 1 motorbike driven by the local Hmong people, up to the rice terrace hills.

Enjoy a breakfast box at a nice rice terrace view.

Then in the morning visit the Mu Cang Chai rice terrace during the harvesting season with the motorbike taxi. 

Back to the town for lunch at a local restaurant, then resting.

Afternoon transfer to another view of afternoon and sunset view by car. Then take a motorbike taxi to get to the shooting point. Enjoy sunset photography with the rice terrace.

Overnight at a basic hotel in Mu Cang Chai.

DAY 4 - 6 OCT 2027: MU CANG CHAI / PHU THO

Early morning photography with a rice terrace in Mu Cang Chai with another viewpoint. We may also use a motorbike taxi to get to the shooting point.

Breakfast at a local restaurant.

Morning transfer to Phu Tho with 5.5 hours of driving.

Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant.

Arrives in Phu Thu in the late afternoon.

Overnight at a basic hotel in Phu Tho.

DAY 5 - 7 OCT 2027: PHU THO / HA GIANG

Early morning transfer to the shooting point is about 30 minutes of driving, then take a motorbike taxi to get to the viewpoint for 15 minutes of driving. Enjoy sunrise photography in the tea hill of Long Coc.

Back to the hotel for breakfast.

Morning transfer to Ha Giang city with 5 hours of driving.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon visit a Tay minority village nearby Ha Giang city. We can take a walk to the village to enjoy candid photography of local minority people on the street.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at a hotel in Ha Giang.

DAY 6 - 8 OCT 2027: HA GIANG / DONG VAN

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning transfer to Dong Van with 5 hours of driving. The landscape on the way to this date is very nice.

Photostop at Quan Ba for landscape photography, need to climb up 300 meters to the viewpoint.

Continue to visit the handicraft village of linen making by Hmong people, a ethnic group. Normally there are some elderly Hmong people at that craft workshop to welcome guests. They are welcome for photography too.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Photostop at Tham Ma slope. Enjoy sunset photography in this place with the view of mountains and light from the cars along the streets at Tham Ma Slope. 

Then continue to transfer to Dong Van and arrive at the hotel in Dong Van in the late afternoon.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at a hotel in Dong Van.

DAY 7 - 9 OCT 2027 (SATURDAY): DONG VAN 

Early morning transfer to Ma Le with 30 minutes of driving, enjoy street photography with the minority Saturday market in Ma Le or other weekly minority markets if any available. 

Back to the hotel for breakfast.

In the morning, to visit the rural village in Dong Van, we need to walk about 1.5 km to the place. Enjoy visiting the less tourists that come to the Hmong village. 

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon transfer to visit Meo Vac area for landscape photography.

Then enjoy another view of sunset photography in Dong Van with a mountain.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at a hotel in Dong Van.

DAY 8 - 10 OCT 2027 (SUNDAY): DONG VAN / CAO BANG

In the early morning enjoy sunrise photography in Dong Van with 30 minutes of driving. The sunrise view with mountains of Ma Pi Leng pass and Nho Que river.

Back to the hotel for breakfast.

Then enjoy morning visits to the Dong Van Sunday weekly market, this market located nearby our hotel, we can take a walk to visit this market.

Morning check out then transfer to Cao Bang with 6 hours of driving.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at the hotel in Cao Bang.

DAY 9 - 11 OCT 2027: CAO BANG / BAN GIOC

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning transfer to visit the handicraft village of making incense by Nung An people, a group ethnic. We will walk about 1.5 km to visit this village.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon transfer to visit and enjoy landscape photography at God Eyes Mountain. This season there may be water in the lake in this area, it should be nice for photography too.

If the sunset is nice, we can have the sunset photographed before transfer, but we may arrive at the hotel a little late. 

Continue transfer to the hotel in Ban Gioc with 1.5 hours of driving.

Overnight at the hotel in Ban Gioc.

DAY 10 - 12 OCT 2027: BAN GIOC / HANOI

In the early morning, enjoy photography at the landscape of Phong Nam with 45 minutes of driving. We need to climb up 15 minutes on the path, which is easy to access. 

Back to the hotel for breakfast.

Mornings visit Ban Gioc waterfall, the biggest waterfall in Vietnam. This place is the touristic place and most well-known of Cao Bang located right in the border of China. Drones used in this place are extremely prohibited.

Then morning transfer to Hanoi with 8 hours of driving.

Lunch and dinner at a hotel restaurant.

Overnight at the hotel in Ban Gioc.

DAY 11 - 13 OCT: HANOI DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel.

Free at leisure until time transfer to the airport for your next destination.

End of service.
